I would like to Welcome You to my 'Fashion Journal'!!! Here I will share a bit more details on what inspired me during my creative process, as well as the true inspiration behind some of my most recent designs and projects.
When I went to Jamaica...

In September 2023, I traveled to Montego Bay, Jamaica with one of my favorite photographers Paul Y Darius. This was our very first project outside of country and we were unsure on what to expect. I have been working and collaborating with Paul for over 6 years now and we have grown accustomed to each other's creative style but traveling to another country for a photoshoot was something very foreign to us. As soon as the flights were booked, we began to plan all of the details for this trip. We searched for weeks for models until we finally came across the stunning Jamaican native Ms. Catherine Jean Harris. Her look was absolutely perfect. I loved working with her and was thrilled when she traveled to Atlanta a few months after so that Paul and I could collaborate with her once more.
Jamaica was absolutely breath-taking. The people, the scenery, the beaches, the food, and the music was something that I will always be grateful to have experienced. Since I was young, I have always wanted to travel all throughout the Caribbean to Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba, the DR and Puerto Rico. I have already traveled to Haiti and the DR so this time around I chose to visit Montego Bay, Jamaica.
I wanted to make a dress that would complement Catherines curvaceous shape while also showcasing just how classy and elegant her dreadlocks could be. I myself modeled
a few of my pieces during this trip as well. One which was a mermaid gown that I wore on the beach; this ended up being one of our favorite shots.

Miss Supranational Haiti in New York...

In June 2024, Paul Darius and I traveled to New York City to work with the beautiful and talented Miss Supranational 2024, Tarah-Lynn. Months before the photoshoot, the Miss Supranational Haiti Organization and I conducted a series of virtual meetings to discuss the exact design looks we all thought would complement Tarah-Lynn the most. Tarah-Lynn was scheduled to travel to Polland for the Miss Supranational Pageant a few weeks after the photoshoot so we decided that at least one of the gowns would be used the pageant as well. The gold flowy gown that she was photographed in was also worn during her opening night in Polland.
I've recently come across this electrifying studio located in Atlanta, GA called the Luxe Galore Studio, so when I found out that they also had a studio in New York I just knew that would be the perfect location for this project. (Photos were published in PUMP Magazine).
The Fabric....
Once I had an idea on the look and the location, we were going for I began to search for the fabric. That is not always the case, sometimes I select the fabric first before I actually come up with a design or concept.
