The Black Ambition Organization is the prime example of what it looks like when the 'cup begins to runneth over'. Founded by one of this eras most extraordinarily talented renaissance artists Pharrell Williams; with an overly passionate staff including
Felecia Hatcher, Jermeen Sherman, Alexis Chin, and Catherine Kimmel ; this dedicated group of individuals continue to define what it truly means to lead others into greatness. For the past 5 years, the Black Ambition team has used their abundance of knowledge, community and resources to build up the Black and Hispanic Community.
Pharrell Williams has mentioned throughout a series of his interviews alongside his most recent documentary entitled Piece by Piece; that he himself was raised in a marginalized community and has endured some of the very same hardships that many continue to experience to this very day. The Black Ambition Founder, Pharrell Williams has expressed just how much can relate to and understands what it means to have a dream or goal that may seem out of reach due to current circumstances. Once he reached a certain stage of success, it was his mission to go back to those very same communities that he himself grew up in to not only provide hope but resources. Black Ambition 2025 Demo Day
On 11/14/2025, in the beautiful city of Miami, Black Ambition held their 5th annual Demo Day Celebration hosted by the talented comedian Jay Pharoah. The event was held at the Sacred Place Miami, an exquisite modern Zen oasis designed by celebrated Miami-based architect Rene Gonzalez. This was my 2nd time traveling down to Miami for a Black Ambition event and during the entire drive down, I was just immersed with this overwhelming sense of excitement. I'm not going to lie... majority of that excitement was actually nervousness due to the fact that I had straightened my hair earlier that day and I wasn't really sure if the fizziness would contain itself lol. But overall, I knew in my heart that this was going to be another inspiring event filled with entrepreneurs from all across the U.S who were there to motivate and uplifting one another!! (And because of this I was beyond ecstatic and grateful to be a part of such an experience).
Throughout the event, a handful of the Black Ambition Prize finalist graced the stage to showcase their business ideas and depict to us exactly how they were able to still continue to move forward as entrepreneurs depsite any of their trials and tribulations. The Founder Showcase included:

As the sun set and we were edging close to the actual Awards Ceremony, Pharrell Williams (one of the great and brilliant minds of this generation) alongside Felecia Hatcher and Mellody Hobson of Ariel Investments (arielinvestments.com) engaged in a conversation discussing their very own unique entrepreneurial journeys throughout the past few years while also highlighting some of their own difficulties and accomplishments. This was the perfect introduction to the Awards Ceremony. The discussion was very raw and candid and all three individuals gave advise on a series of important topics that mattered to majority of entrepreneurs such as myself such as the importance of financial literacy among other things. During the ceremony all of this year's Black Ambition Prize Winners were awarded anywhere from $20K to $100K.
