The Award Ceremony

When the HMA Organization reached out to me and advise me that I had been nominated for the 'Designer of the Year Award', I was in such an awe! I had no idea that I was even being considered for such an award so when I found out that I was awarded 'Fashion Designer of the Year' I was speechless (literally, I think my acceptance speech was just me saying Thank You a million and one times because I wasn't prepared to make a speech at all lol). When I tell you that I was beyond grateful that I had been invited all the way out to Cleveland, Ohio to experience such an inspirational and captivating event, I was beyond grateful. While I was there it was also astonishing to see that every single person attending the Award Ceremony was celebrated regardless if they received an award or not. And I believe that that's exactly how it should be; us always finding ways to motivate and inspire one another.

Speaking of Inspiration- I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to do any of the designing and creative work these past few years if I wasn't blessed with some good genuine people and family around me. Thank you again to the HMA Awards for taking the time out to recognize my hard work and dedication over these past few years and Thank You again to everyone who has continued to be such a motivation and support to me.

The Cleveland Musuem of Art

Usually, I can find inspiration any and everywhere but one of the places in particular where I find inspiration are the art exhibits and museums. Each and every time I travel out of town, I try my best to visit at least one or two museums. During my time in Cleveland, Ohio I had the chance to visit the Cleveland Museum of Art and by far it is currently one of my favorite museums.

The Musuem showcased a wide variety of pieces from Ancient Greece to Egyptian. The Egyptian artifacts had me absolutely mesmerized. Just to see the craftsmanship of the ancient Egyptians up close and personal and to truly grasp the intricate details and artistry displayed within their work. To think that the essence of creativity was just as prominent as it is now wayyyyyy back then.
